For emerging medical technology companies, the route from an innovative idea in the clinical setting to successful product commercialization is not without obstacles. For this customer, we shared each step in their journey to successful conclusion and acquisition.

The customer embarked on what became a 3 year program with the Design team to bring about the paradigm shift in EUS FNA (Endoscopic Ultrasound Fine Needle Aspiration) that they envisaged.

Seeking to overcome the inflexibility of existing solutions, the design called for a novel product incorporating 3 different sized interchangeable needles. This allowed access to anatomical sites that were previously impossible to access endoscopically. Developing an activation system in the handle and outer sheath to incorporate this functionality encompassed the full breath of our skill set and design experience. Each technical challenge along the way was tackled and overcome with no compromise on the novel design intent, resulting in a revolutionary product launch onto the market.
