Device Innovations

As part of its commitment to core R&D and into further understanding what the future may hold for devices, Creganna Medical is collaborating with a host of European partners in the development of novel catheter solutions containing micro pressure sensors.

Philips Healthcare is leading the Europe wide INCITE (Intelligent Catheters in Advanced Systems for Interventions) project with 20 other consortium partners.

The Design team at Creganna Medical is the lead catheter integrator, working closely with all the partners including Philips and the lead Irish research partner, the Tyndall National Institute (Cork).

Partner of choice for the design and manufacture of minimally invasive access and delivery systems

The project supports a number of key technology developments that can assist customers as they seek to gain advantage in their novel catheter solutions including:

  • Development of polymer laser cutting capabilities in creating the nano-space for the micro-sensor in the catheter outer wall.
  • Development of increased understanding and capabilities in the integration of electronics, wiring and micro-sensors into catheters.
